Nordea – empty book

The most important clients of Nordea are also influential figures in the society, whose thoughts would deserve to be published as a book. Bank took a bow towards them, giving an empty book as a new year present. Person’s name and the title “Uus algus” – “A New Beginning” – on the cover suggests that it might be a good time to share those thoughts with the bigger audiences.

PÖFF (Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival) is the biggest film festival in the Nordic countries. As a coincidence, Nordea is the biggest financial group in the Nordic countries. When two giants clash, there sure will be lots of fun and unexpected turns in the plot. Just like in the movies, or as Estonians say: “Koos saab kino!”

Nordea “New Beginning”

This is not just another nice imago campaign – it’s a repositioning of Nordea brand in Estonia. Because of its Scandinavian backround Nordea felt a bit too cold, far and serious. So, Nordea needed to transform warmer, more colourful and more personal for its existing and new clients. How we did it? Basicly, at first we “domesticated” for the brand new slogan: “Koos loome uusi võimalusi” (Creating new possibilities together). Then worked out a new visual language, based not on “photostockrealism”, but on characteristic illustrations and colours. And finally launched quite a massive imago campaign “New Beginning” with very wide range of communication channels from ambient to TV. It’s a new beginning for Nordea, for operating principles of Estonian banks and for banking standards in general. It gives positive message for people and society. For all of us.
